Vieques Beach Guide

Playa de la Chiva/Blue Beach

For pure relaxation, Blue Beach is one of Vieques Island's most popular beaches. Blue Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Vieques National Wildlife Refuge. Spend an entire day walking the shores, exploring the reefs or relaxing near the covered shelters.

The waters near Blue Beach have the best snorkeling and diving in Vieques. Snorkelers and Scuba divers can explore the numerous reefs that surround Cayo Chiva, where rays are often sighted.

Blue Beach is great for nature lovers. Brown pelicans and sea turtles nest on Playa Chiva, and many species of wading birds feed at a nearby lagoon.

Red Beach and Secret Beach are en route to Blue Beach; Silver Beach is nearby.
