Kim and Wes Allen, TVG's Founder/Operators, first visited Vieques in 2005. Through their experience of planning a vacation to the island, they discovered a need for a better quality Vieques travel service.
As veterans of web design and customer service, Wes and Kim decided to do it. They envisioned an online "Guide to Vieques" that united a visitor's curiosity with a local's knowledge.
Wes and Kim moved to the island exactly one year later...
The months to follow were spent meeting good people, making great friends, gathering knowledge and exploring Vieques top to bottom. In January 2007, The Vieques Guide officially launched!

By early 2008, TheViequesGuide.com was regarded as one of the top Vieques websites. The site had grown to well over 180 pages, and TVG's business directory included over a hundred local businesses.
